Nation Media Group (NMG) has received the green light from Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to restart its operations in Uganda. This development was announced by the Taarifa Group, signaling a significant step forward for the media company’s presence in the country.
Rostam Azizi, chairman of the Taarifa Group, emphasized the organisation’s dedication to delivering impactful journalism as NMG prepares to resume its activities. The decision follows a period of uncertainty regarding the company’s operations in Uganda.
This move is expected to restore NMG's role in the Ugandan media landscape, providing a platform for news and information dissemination under renewed authorization.
