Former world number one Novak Djokovic has confirmed his participation in the upcoming Cincinnati Masters, scheduled for August 13-23. This will be his first appearance at the tournament since winning the title in 2023.
Djokovic, currently ranked fifth globally, announced the news via the tournament’s social media channels, expressing enthusiasm about returning to Cincinnati and competing in front of fans once again.
"I am very happy to announce that I will be in Cincinnati this year, for the first time since 2023," Djokovic said. "That year I played one of the top three Masters 1000 finals of my career. I really look forward to coming back, playing in front of you again, and seeing all the fans from around the world. See you soon!"
The Serbian star is set to join a strong field that includes Wimbledon champion Jannik Sinner, world number two Alexander Zverev, and world number three Carlos Alcaraz, who has been sidelined with a wrist injury since April.
Following Cincinnati, Djokovic is expected to compete at the US Open, which runs from August 30 to September 13. There, he will pursue his 25th Grand Slam title, further cementing his legacy in tennis history.
