Veteran Ohangla musician Attomy Sifa, known for his politically charged songs targeting leaders in Nyanza, was arraigned in court on Friday, 31 July 2026, alongside his DJ. They face allegations of stealing a bull from the residence of Joyce Atieno Bensuda, the Homa Bay Woman Representative.
During the hearing, Bensuda personally appeared and addressed the court, stating the incident occurred at her home on a Monday while she was away. She revealed that besides the bull, four sacks of charcoal were also reported missing.
"Your Honour, I have come this morning to ensure that Attomy Sifa and the co-accused, who brought Your Honour to my home, hand over the bull to me," she told the court.
The case has attracted significant attention on social media, where many Kenyans expressed surprise and amusement given Attomy Sifa's reputation as a vocal critic of political figures in the region.
