TH3 Swish head coach Ariel Okal has emphasized the importance of maintaining focus as his team prepares for the Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) National Women's Basketball Premier League playoffs.
Swish secured their playoff berth following a hard-fought 61-52 victory against Lady Titans at the USIU Grounds. This win brought their tally to 12 wins and six losses after 18 matches, ensuring a spot in the postseason with four regular-season games still to be played.
Okal commended his players for recovering from a mid-game dip in concentration to finish strong in the final quarter. "The girls started well but had some lapses in the second and third quarters. They identified their mistakes, corrected them, and closed the game strongly," he said, highlighting the team's ability to draw fouls and convert free throws under pressure.
Looking ahead, Okal sees the remaining fixtures as opportunities to fine-tune the squad for the title chase. "With the playoff slot secured, our focus shifts to preparation and building momentum. Our goal is to reach the finals and give ourselves the best chance to win the championship," he added.
