Security forces have confiscated 51.6 kilograms of cannabis estimated at Ksh1.5 million during a coordinated operation in Kilifi County. Two individuals were arrested as authorities intensified their crackdown on illegal drug activities.

The raid took place on Monday, August 3, 2026, in Divayo village, Malindi Sub-County, following intelligence reports about drug-related activities in the area. Officers uprooted 43 kilograms of cannabis plants and recovered an additional 8.5 kilograms along with six rolls of the substance.
The seized cannabis was transported to Langobaya Police Station for safekeeping as evidence. The suspects remain in custody pending further investigations and are expected to face charges related to the illicit drug trade.
