President William Ruto convened a meeting with leaders and members of the Friends Church in Kenya, commonly known as the Quakers, at State House Nairobi on Monday. The gathering united religious leaders and political figures from across the country.

Among the attendees were hundreds of faithful members and senior government officials, including Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi, who is affiliated with the Friends Church.

Friends Church Presence and Contributions

The Friends Church is one of the largest Christian denominations in Western Kenya, with significant communities in Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, Trans Nzoia, and neighboring counties. The church plays a vital role in the region by sponsoring numerous educational and health institutions such as Friends School Kamusinga, Friends School Chavakali, and Kaimosi Friends University College.
