Quickmart has announced that Betty Wamaitha, its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), will step down on August 5 after more than ten years with the company.
In a joint statement by Group CEO Peter Kang’iri and Kenya Managing Director Jacques Dome, the retailer credited Wamaitha with playing a pivotal role in its rapid expansion, growing from just three stores to over 60 branches across Kenya.
During her tenure, Wamaitha led marketing strategies that enhanced brand recognition and customer loyalty. Her initiatives ensured that new store openings attracted customers immediately, supporting Quickmart’s entrance into new markets.
