Raila Odinga Junior, son of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, has stepped up his campaign for the Kibra parliamentary seat as the 2027 General Election approaches.

During a meeting with elders from all five wards of Kibra Constituency—Laini Saba, Lindi, Makina, Woodley/Kenyatta Golf Course, and Sarang'ombe—on August 3, Raila Jr. emphasised his focus on organising the constituency and preparing for leadership.

He told supporters, "I am already organising Kibra now while you think about voting. My challenge is how to prepare the constituency, and your challenge will be how I enter. I have already started planning."

The discussions with the elders centred on unity, community development, and Kibra's future. Raila Jr. expressed appreciation for their wisdom and commitment to the area.

In addition, Raila Junior recently met members of the Friends of Raila group at JOOF, describing the gathering as an opportunity to reconnect with long-time supporters and share ideas about Kibra's progress.

Earlier in May, Raila Odinga Junior received a warm reception during a church service visit in Imara Daima, where large crowds gathered to welcome him, highlighting the enduring influence of the Odinga family in Nairobi's political landscape. Security personnel were deployed to manage the enthusiastic supporters.

Raila Junior has also engaged the public at the Jacaranda Grounds, further consolidating his presence ahead of the upcoming election.
