Russian forces launched a series of ballistic missile and drone attacks on Kyiv and nearby districts early Wednesday, resulting in two confirmed civilian deaths and at least 24 injuries, local authorities reported.
Timur Tkachenko, head of Kyiv's military administration, described the assault as a massive offensive targeting the Kyiv region. Air raid sirens sounded for over an hour as multiple missile waves struck the city and its outskirts.
Authorities confirmed one woman was killed within Kyiv, while another fatality occurred in Bucha, west of the capital. Among the injured, four individuals are reported in serious condition.
Damage has been recorded across Bucha, Brovary, and Fastiv districts. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko expressed concern that some victims might be trapped under rubble following strikes in the city center.
