Supporters of President William Ruto have increased grassroots mobilisation efforts in Western and Nyanza regions to solidify support ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Recent campaign activities involved key Kenya Kwanza leaders, including President Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet and Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot, who toured Nyamira and Kakamega counties. They highlighted government development projects and encouraged residents to back the President for a second term.
Focus on Inclusive Development
During an interdenominational choirs empowerment event in Kitutu Masaba Constituency, Nyamira County, Farouk Kibet emphasized the administration’s commitment to equitable growth across all regions. He stated, "President William Ruto's agenda is to ensure that every part of Kenya benefits from inclusive development through equitable distribution of resources and opportunities."
Kibet added that the government prioritizes partnerships with communities to implement programs that enhance livelihoods and expand economic opportunities. These engagements also help the administration understand local needs while building support for its development agenda.
Engagements in Kakamega
The leaders subsequently visited Malava Constituency in Kakamega County, holding a public forum at Mukhungula Primary School alongside MP David Ndakwa and Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka. They outlined ongoing government projects and reaffirmed their commitment to inclusive growth, improved service delivery, and economic empowerment.
Kibet expressed gratitude to the residents for their strong turnout and participation, stating, "I thank the people of Malava for their warm reception, valuable contributions and unwavering commitment to the region's development."
Political Mobilisation Ahead of 2027
This series of visits reflects Kenya Kwanza’s intensified political engagements nationwide, with senior officials combining development outreach with mobilisation efforts as the 2027 elections approach. The ruling coalition plans to base its re-election campaign on its achievements in infrastructure, housing, agriculture, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment.
Both the ruling alliance and opposition parties are actively seeking to consolidate support in key voting regions across the country in preparation for the upcoming polls.
