The Senate County Public Accounts Committee has directed the Inspector-General of Police, Douglas Kanja, to arrest Isiolo Governor Abdi Guyo following his failure to attend a scheduled hearing on July 27, 2026.

The hearing was convened to address Auditor-General queries concerning billions of shillings allocated to Isiolo County. Guyo's absence marked a repeated no-show despite multiple summonses.

Committee chair Moses Kajwang’ revealed that the governor’s office had requested a postponement on July 16, citing prior county engagements.
