Homa Bay Town experienced unrest on Tuesday afternoon after six individuals were detained for allegedly assaulting organisers of the upcoming Linda Mwananchi public rally set for August 16.

Homa Bay County Police Commander Lawrence Koilem confirmed the arrests and stated that police were deployed to restore order and normalcy.
