Somali leaders in Mombasa have announced plans to hold a significant conference aimed at addressing challenges related to identity cards, voter registration, and broader community issues.
The initiative follows a meeting convened by the Mombasa Somali Community Association, chaired by Abdow Bahaji, which brought together community elders, officials, and stakeholders including religious leaders, businesspeople, women, and youth.
Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, who attended the discussions, highlighted that the talks focused on improving access to national registration services and strengthening unity within the Somali community across Mombasa and the entire Coast region.
