Authorities have apprehended a suspect wanted for the murder of three men at a Kiambu construction site. The suspect was arrested in Nyeri County and is now in custody at Kiambu Police Station ahead of his court arraignment.

The killings occurred on July 21, 2026, at Muthithi Estate in Kiambu Town, where Kennedy Mambo, John Kamau, and Cyrus Muchiri were found dead. Police report that the suspect, who served as the caretaker of the construction site, allegedly committed the murders following his dismissal over theft allegations.

After his arrest in Githima B Village, Mathira East Subcounty, the suspect was handed to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) officers in Kiambu East. He was then escorted to Kiambu where he was booked into police custody pending further legal proceedings.

Investigators plan to seek court custodial orders to allow more time to complete their inquiries into the triple homicide.
