A 30-year-old man named Kennedy was fatally stabbed near Nairobi's Nyayo Stadium after a dispute with a taxi driver, authorities confirmed.

The incident occurred when Kennedy and his cousin Leonard were traveling from Roret, Kericho County, to Nairobi. Their vehicle was reportedly rammed multiple times by a taxi with registration number KDD 428B.

Instead of avoiding the situation, the cousins confronted the taxi driver. A video from the scene captures a tense exchange between Kennedy and the driver, who then retrieved a knife from his car and attacked Kennedy.

Kennedy collapsed and later died at Mbagathi Hospital despite efforts to save him. Another individual sustained injuries during the altercation.

The taxi driver fled immediately after the attack. Makadara OCPD Judith Nyongesa stated that police have obtained the suspect's details from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) and are actively pursuing him.

Friends and family have gathered at Kenyatta National Hospital mortuary for identification and funeral preparations, demanding justice for Kennedy’s death.
