Kennedy Ngeno, a 30-year-old man from Kericho County, was fatally stabbed in a road rage confrontation close to Nyayo National Stadium along Mombasa Road on July 31.

The incident occurred after a minor collision when a taxi driver hit Ngeno's vehicle from behind. According to Leonard Cheruiyot, Ngeno's cousin, the taxi driver aggressively approached their car and smashed the windscreen before retrieving a knife from his vehicle.

Moments later, Ngeno was found with stab wounds on the ground, and another member of the group was also injured. The taxi driver immediately fled the scene.

Emergency responders rushed Ngeno to Mbagathi Hospital and then referred him to Kenyatta National Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

Family Seeks Justice

Ngeno's widow, Dorcas, expressed her distress after multiple failed attempts to contact her husband following the attack. She called for justice, emphasizing the impact of his loss on their family and others who depended on him.

Police Pursuit Underway

Makadara OCPD Judith Nyongesa confirmed that detectives have retrieved the taxi driver's details from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) and are actively searching for the suspect. No arrests have been made yet.
