Authorities in Kisumu County have apprehended three individuals suspected of involvement in a violent house robbery, marking a significant step in dismantling a gang accused of terrorizing local residents.
The suspects were identified after CCTV footage showed three men forcibly entering a home armed with pangas, metal bars, and what appeared to be a pistol. They reportedly stole various household goods before fleeing the scene.
Following the initial arrest, police received intelligence that led them to Rabuor, where two additional suspects connected to the case were detained. A fourth individual linked to the robbery remains at large.
Searches conducted at the suspects' homes yielded multiple stolen items, a toy pistol resembling a firearm, several SIM cards, burglary tools, and concealed rolls of cannabis. Further investigation at another rented property recovered additional stolen goods, including a national identity card belonging to one of the victims.
The trio is currently held at Kasagam Police Station pending ongoing investigations. The National Police Service has pledged to continue efforts to apprehend the remaining suspect and urged the public to assist by reporting suspicious activities.
