Three passengers lost their lives instantly following a collision between a bodaboda and a matatu near Mutituni market along the Machakos-Kangundo road in Machakos County on Monday.
The victims were among four pillion passengers riding on the motorcycle towards Machakos town. Reports indicate the bodaboda was attempting to overtake when it collided head-on with the matatu traveling in the opposite direction towards Kangundo.
Emergency responders rushed the injured to Machakos Level Five Hospital for treatment, while the deceased were taken to the hospital's mortuary.
