Three diploma students from the Technical University of Kenya (TUK) have engineered an AI-powered unmanned ground vehicle designed to operate in dangerous environments such as factory floors and agricultural fields.

The project, completed by Owen David, Anderson Mugai, and Geoffrey Ndanga as their final-year assignment in Mechatronics Engineering, features a robot controlled remotely via an Android interface. It uses 4G connectivity, cameras, and motion sensors to navigate hazardous areas where human presence might pose significant risks.
