Adrian and Ainsley Dondo, twin brothers born just a minute apart, have completed their Biomedical Science degrees together at Keele University, marking four years of shared academic and personal experiences.
The 22-year-olds, who chose Keele for its strong Biomedical Science program, lived in neighboring rooms, studied side by side, and even played together on the university’s basketball team. Their close bond helped them support each other through exam preparations and coursework deadlines, often revising together and motivating one another.
Despite facing some personal challenges during the early years of university, particularly for Ainsley, having each other nearby provided confidence and resilience. Both brothers emphasized the importance of developing their individual identities alongside their close partnership.
Future Plans
Following graduation, Adrian and Ainsley are set to begin internships in Milton Keynes as part of their journey to become HCPC-registered biomedical scientists. While they acknowledge that future employment might place them in separate labs, they are committed to continuing their parallel career paths as long as possible.
Reflecting on their graduation day, Adrian described the experience as surreal and memorable, especially sharing the moment with his brother immediately behind him on stage.
