Two men lost their lives when a light aircraft collided with the roof of a residential home in Ganderkesee, near Oldenburg in northwestern Germany.

The private plane struck the pitched roof head-on, leading to an immediate emergency response. Initial reports indicated one fatality and one missing occupant, but after extensive recovery efforts, authorities confirmed both men—aged 65 and 77 from Bremen—had died in the crash.

Following the removal of the wreckage embedded in the roof, evacuated residents were allowed to return to their homes. Police have launched an investigation to establish the cause of the accident.
