Authorities have arrested two individuals in connection with the killing of Dr Victoria Mutiso, a prominent clinical psychologist and mental health researcher. The suspects are set to be formally charged at Milimani Law Courts as the probe into the incident intensifies.

Dr Mutiso was fatally attacked shortly after arriving at the Africa Institute of Mental and Brain Health in Upper Hill on Wednesday morning. Investigators are treating the incident as a targeted ambush.

At the time of her death, Dr Mutiso was serving as the head of research at the Africa Mental Health Research and Training Foundation (AMHRTF), where she was deeply involved in advancing mental health research and training initiatives.
