The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has reopened and refurbished the Hustler Centre, the strategic hub that played a key role in President William Ruto's successful 2022 campaign. The move marks a renewed push as the party intensifies preparations for the 2027 General Election.
UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar described the revamped facility as a central command point for political mobilisation and campaign coordination. The centre, which served as UDA’s original headquarters during the last election cycle, will now host strategy meetings, planning sessions, and mobilisation activities for the ruling party and its allied leaders.
Key functions of the Hustler Centre include:
- Coordinating political engagements involving Kenya Kwanza coalition leaders
- Serving as a venue for campaign strategy development and mobilisation programmes
- Supporting the implementation and communication of government development agendas
During a tour of the centre, Hassan Omar met with Lands Principal Secretary Generali Nixon Korir to review progress on the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA), a flagship government program. Discussions focused on strengthening outreach to diverse constituencies nationwide and enhancing public communication of the Kenya Kwanza administration’s achievements.
Korir expressed confidence in President Ruto's prospects for a second term, highlighting the administration's record in infrastructure, housing, agriculture, job creation, and economic empowerment projects.
The refurbishment signals the start of an intensified campaign effort by UDA, which is increasingly blending government development initiatives with political mobilisation. Party officials reaffirm that BETA will remain central to the campaign narrative as the 2027 elections approach.
As the Hustler Centre ramps up activity, both the ruling Kenya Kwanza coalition and opposition parties are reinforcing their grassroots structures in anticipation of a highly competitive presidential race.
