Authorities have launched investigations following the discovery of a woman's body concealed inside a sack near the Nairobi River in Dagoretti.
The body, believed to be of a woman around 25 years old, was found on Sunday morning in the Kampi Moto area. Police officers who responded to the scene located the deceased inside a green sack beside the riverbank.
Preliminary observations revealed no visible signs of violence or blood at the location, suggesting the possibility that the victim may have been killed elsewhere before her body was dumped near the river. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
The scene was carefully documented and processed before the body was transported to Nairobi City Mortuary for preservation and identification.
Police have appealed to the public to provide any information that could assist in identifying the woman or clarifying the circumstances surrounding her death. Members of the public are urged to report to the nearest police station.
Separate Murder Investigation Underway in Embakasi
In a related incident, police are investigating the stabbing death of 33-year-old security guard Justus Muthee Nzioki in the Imara area of Embakasi. His body was found early Sunday morning with a fatal chest wound.
Crime scene officers processed the area, but the suspected weapon has not been recovered. The victim’s mobile phone was found on him. Justus Muthee Nzioki’s body was also taken to Nairobi City Mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
Investigations continue as police work to identify suspects and establish the full circumstances of both deaths.
