A 40-year-old woman, Maureen Atieno Oloo, was found dead early Thursday in a suspected domestic violence incident in Bondo Sub-County, Siaya County.

Authorities discovered Oloo inside her home in Lwala B Village, Ogam Nyamonye Sub-location, North Yimbo, bearing severe axe wounds to her forehead and the back of her head.

The prime suspect is her 49-year-old husband, who reportedly attempted to end his own life by ingesting a poisonous substance following the attack.
