The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) conducted coordinated raids at two locations in Kajiado County on Tuesday, dismantling alleged hubs for producing explicit content and rescuing 48 women.

The first operation took place in Rimpa, Ongata Rongai, where police recovered 30 women aged between 19 and 27. Authorities seized seven laptops equipped with cameras alongside other devices believed to be used in creating explicit material. Several suspects were arrested and are currently held at Ongata Rongai Police Station awaiting arraignment.

In a related raid in Kiserian, officers arrested individuals suspected of luring young women under the guise of domestic work, only to coerce them into prostitution and sexual exploitation. This operation led to the rescue of 18 women and the confiscation of mobile phones, laptops, and other incriminating evidence.

The DCI noted that the primary suspect remains at large, with investigations ongoing to secure an arrest. Efforts are underway to provide the rescued women with safe accommodation, psychosocial support, and medical care to facilitate their recovery and reintegration into society.
